We help clear away what is holding you back from productive solutions.

Facilitative/Collaborative Divorce

In facilitative divorce we function as an impartial third party to assist your discussions in doing the necessary decision making process of dissolving your union. As experts in conflict resolution we will help you to come up with collaborative solutions for the most difficult challenges you encounter in the process. As relational communication experts we can help recognize common patterns of communication that might be detrimental to the effective resolution of the process and gently guide you to more productive talk. We will eventually come to agreements regarding the different elements of the dissolution documentation and provide you with a complete application for dissolution. Facilitative mediation is the most cost effective third party method of divorce.

In collaborative divorce each party employs a consulting attorney to assist in different stages of the process. Starting with the discovery process in which the parties provide the necessary information to fill out the dissolution of marriage, we will create an easily understandable record of assets and liabilities that the parties can take back to their consulting attorneys for advice on goals and interests in the mediation process. After this process the parties come back and engage in the facilitative divorce mediation process. After an agreement has been reached and a draft of the application for dissolution has been created, the parties are encouraged to have their consulting attorneys to review and advise on the agreement and documentation. This process helps reduce the cost of divorce by limiting the direct legal cost, while also helping the parties feel confident by having someone one their side in the process.

The parties may choose a shuttle process whereby they do not interact directly. Shuttle mediation may happen in person or virtually.

Parenting Plan Creation and Revision

For divorces involving dependent children the state requires an extremely detailed parenting plan. A thoughtful parenting plan can help reduce tensions between parents and help maintain strong relationships with the children. With strong experience in developing parenting plans we can help you avoid some of the common pitfalls that may bring challenges later.

Sometimes situations change requiring revisions to parenting plans. Unfortunately, some challenges might also arise from the development of existing parenting plans. We can help you adjust your existing parenting plan through constructive discussion. We can also help to address any ongoing communication issues that might be making it more difficult to enact or adhere to existing or new parenting plans.

Family Mediation

Families experience unique challenges concerning their different roles within an overall system.
While family counceling is often necessary to address more complex challenges, mediation can be useful to address specific conflicts or two come to workable agreements between family members. We facilitate your discussion and help create the framework for ongoing interaction after the mediation session.

Workplace Mediation

Tensions within the workplace can often benefit from an unbiased third party intervention. As trained workplace mediators we can assist you in overcoming challenges that could be impacting turnover, absenteeism, job satisfaction and anything that might be impacting the productivity and emotional well-being of workers. In workplace mediation we begin by conducting pre-mediation interviews to make sure all relevant parties and issues are understood to make the mediation process as effective as possible.
